There have been a number of times when I have seen technology performance not up to published standards. I have seen the times when the vendor promised performance based on undefined infrastructure - and seen the impact on the end user, systems support - and client bottom line - as the primary business application is choked by under-performing infrastructure, poor adoption rates, user-implemented work-arounds and a lack of devotion to enterprise objectives. And resolved many of those problems, many before they occurred!
As IT Director for a number of operations, I have been able to make changes to fit the needs of the enterprise. Whether that is technology, operational systems, processes, or resource needs, I have collaborated with enterprise resources in order to ensure the business is fine tuned and bottom line performance is optimized.
With a CompTia Project + certification, I am able to develop projects that align with PMBOK standards. Running projects always requires definition of methodology, and I have experience deploying the right tool customized for each project. Whether classic Waterfall, some form of Agile/Scrum, or a blended methodology, you will always see the most efficient project performance as we move along the Project Tasks and Milestones.
Technology Life cycles are short - and are often getting shorter! This performance can result in starvation - of time, of resources, of finances. Life cycles are constantly impacting projects as well as operations as we adopt more, better, and hopefully efficient tools and process. I will never allow us to lose sight of the importance of these life cycles.
